The progression from his debut album, Matinee to second album, Everything is New, was so big and showed such a maturing that you can only assume that this track is Jack’s way of offering the first page in a new chapter of his life. The contrasting lyrics and guitars are reminiscent of his second album; the guitars show a glimpes of his previous work but the lyrics and melody point towards something much deeper. If his next surprise follows suit, then this will be a comeback not to be missed.
